Loons, Grebes
Loons (5 species) have legs set far back on their bodies and are good swimmers. They are fish-eating birds that dive and pursue their prey underwater.
Grebes (7 species) are smaller than loons, have lobed toes and a very short tail. They forage underwater for small aquatic animals.
