Black Skimmer

Everyone loves to watch Skimmers. They fly beautifully and have a unique method of catching fish - skimming the water’s surface with their mandible in the water, the bill primed to reflexly snap shut when in contact with prey.

There are 3 Skimmer species: African, Indian, and the Black. The latter species is seen in USA, Central & South America.
